Who We Serve

Wonders & Worries serves children ages 2 to 18 who have a parent or significant caregiver with a serious or life-threatening illness, and has the expertise to guide parents and professionals in a child’s life when a family is dealing with a serious illness. Wonders & Worries services can benefit:

  • Children and teens struggling to understand and cope with a parent’s or caregiver’s illness.
  • Parents who want to reconnect with their children during an illness, after treatment, or after a loss.
  • Professionals, such as teachers, school counselors, or psychologists, who interact with children dealing with a parent’s or caregiver’s illness.

Wonders & Worries provides support for families at any stage of an illness, but does not provide support when a loss has already occurred. Please click here for more information on bereavement services.

We regret that because our expertise and training is not mental illness, we cannot provide support for families dealing solely with psychological illnesses.
