Maintaining positive relationships between parents and children during a medical crisis can be challenging for any family. To strengthen family ties and help children gain the resources to grow through crisis, Wonders & Worries offers a free Child-Parent Relationship Training (CPRT) class designed the help parents reconnect with their children during the illness, after treatment or after a loss. We offer these classes four times a year. The course meets once a week for eight weeks and includes free child care and a light meal. CPRT is designed for parents of children between the ages of 2 and 12 years.
Volunteer groups and donors are invited to participate in sponsoring and supporting these classes. Volunteer groups typically provide a light meal for the classes, and donors can sponsor the kits that are provided free of charge to each parent.
