Development and Outreach
The Development and Outreach Committees are conduits for introducing and guiding best practices. These leadership positions fulfill a vital role in the governance of W&W and directly align with the annual fundraising initiatives.
Front Desk/Office Volunteers
Volunteers in this position generally have a regularly scheduled time (weekly or biweekly) to answer phones and assist any staff member with projects. Volunteer opportunities take place at the W&W North Office. We can ALWAYS use help in this area, please let us know if you would like to set regular times to help or give your time on a more periodic basis. We are specifically looking for volunteers to come in two hours per week to help on a consistent basis!
One Time Projects
Volunteers for one time projects (such as stuffing envelopes, addressing large mailing, etc) will be kept on an email list and emailed only when a large project comes up. These opportunities can sometimes be outside of the business day/week.
Practicum Students
We offer Practicum opportunities for students studying to become Child Life Specialists. At this time we are not able to offer Practicum opportunities to students in other areas of study. Internships for Administration and Development

Program Volunteers
There are limited volunteer opportunities available that allow direct interaction with children and families because all of W&W’s therapeutic support is provided by professional Child Life staff. Occasionally there is a need for volunteer support with W&W’s therapeutic groups. These volunteer opportunities are reserved for current W&W’s volunteers who have expressed a desire, comfort level and ability to work directly with children in a therapeutic group setting. If you would like to work directly with children and families in this capacity, please share your interest with the W&W’s staff.
