Fundraising Ideas

Many groups and individuals conduct their own fundraising campaign to raise money for Wonders & Worries. Please refer to the community event forms and agreement and contact the development director in advance of your campaign so that we can help support and promote your activities. Here are some fundraising ideas to consider:

  • Host a bake sale at your school or place of employment
  • Post a personal appeal on your facebook and twitter pages, with a link to give online (Offer a fun prize as a drawing for everyone who gives. Some ideas include something personal from you, like a home-cooked dinner, or offer a gift certificate or other fun, cool prize)
  • Host a party and ask for an admission fee or donation for Wonders & Worries
  • Ask for donations to Wonders & Worries in lieu of birthday presents or wedding gifts
  • Organize a community-wide rummage sale to benefit Wonders & Worries
  • Give up a special treat for a period of time and give the savings to Wonders & Worries. Enlist your friends to join you. (For example, for the price of a latte a day, you could donate over $1,000 a year.)
  • Host an “unwanted gift sale” party. Invite friends and ask them to bring their unwanted gifts. Auction each item to the highest bidder, with proceeds going to Wonders & Worries
  • Host a pancake breakfast or spaghetti dinner for a large group.
